Post the Amsler grid on a solid surface that you pass by at least a few times a day, such as the bathroom mirror or refrigerator.

Hold the grid as you would when reading.

If you wear any kind of glasses, use them while testing with the Amsler grid.

Cover one eye, with the eye that is not covered, focus on the dot in the center of the grid.

You should notice the dot and the lines in the grid should be straight.

If you notice any abnormalities within the grid, contact your ophthalmologist immediately.
